ABC Real Estate LLC Brings New Innovative Business to Northern Utah
www.abcrealestatellc.com

LOGAN, Utah- ABC Real Estate LLC is the first business in Northern Utah to handle real estate transactions using trust funds. The new company is looking for four beneficiaries to collaborate within the land trust and will provide benefits to each. These beneficiaries include a seller, a buyer, an investor, and a credit beneficiary. President Preston Parker states, “We find buyers and sellers and we connect them to each other.”

This process gives people who have previously had bad credit the opportunity to purchase a home. Preston Parker explains, “The buyer lives in the home and pays into the trust, while the other three receive trust distributions.” There is no official owner of the house. When it sells the buyer gets 10%, while the other three beneficiaries get 30%.

Parker says the main purpose is to help people out. “What we want is for people to be able to progress and advance. People who can’t get into homes, we’re helping them,” says Parker. As president of the company, Parker’s job is to handle outside paperwork and find investors. A contract agreed upon by all beneficiaries is set up and the individual buying the house must sign.

ABC Real Estate LLC is a company who handles real estate transactions using land trusts. With the help of a mentor from Salt Lake City, Preston Parker started the business in Logan in August 2008. The way the company forms and uses land trusts is currently patent pending.

  1. Jamie-
Reading yours reminded me of mine...except you remembered to add the -END- notation at the end. Just make sure and fill in the blanks, complete your sentences and add the quotes you're looking for. Loved your title- it answered the "what?" question right away. And good lead. One question, is a "trust fund" the same thing as a "beneficiary trust fund"? If they are different you may want to use the terms we talked about in class, "beneficiary, equity," etc.

  2. I enjoyed your title also. It makes me want to work on mine. I know you had more to write but your computer was running out of battery so obviously you posted what you could. The lead was good and I would suggest entering a quote in the following paragraph or near the top of the press release. I like the overall outline as well.

  3. Hey Jamie, I just realized, if I am even right, it was Courtney's computer that was running out of battery so when I read her name from the comment she posted above I associated it with my comment and I am sorry. Either way, your letter looks like many I have read, including mine. I also wanted to say I like how your notes are organized and I think you will put together a great letter. Well done, James

  4. Jey Jamie,

I liked the get to-the-point info you had in your first paragraph. Good starter! Make sure to include other info about the actual company further along in the release. Which I'm sure you already were planning on since your notes indicated that. So good job :)
