Burger Planet Introduces Healthy Additions to Menu


LOGAN, Utah- In an effort to promote healthy eating and activity choices, Burger Planet has added new food choices to their menu along with support from fitness guru, Jayne Petersen.

Mr. James E. Muellenbach III, Burger Planet CEO stated, “The company has succeeded because it put customers first. We listen to our customers. And our customers desire healthy choices, of which we offer many.”

Burger Planet will still be serving their traditional burgers, sodas, and fries for over seven decades. Due to increasingly health-minded consumers and the company’s policy to cater to their needs, the company has decided to include menu options for these customers as well. These options include white meat chicken breasts, which can be ordered wrapped in lettuce, a variety of fruit packets including apples, grapes, peaches, pineapple, and bananas, and a new line of gourmet salads.

Jayne Petersen, known for her work with Opal Whitcomb, has joined the Burger Planet team to help motivate people to eat healthy and in moderation. She will work with the chefs to ensure the new offerings are as healthy as possible. Focusing on providing nutritional packets and advice to consumers, she will be making promotional appearances in 7 shopping malls around the country.

Peterson states, “The company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier, active lifestyles and I have spent my life trying to teach women that lesson. Women can have a burger and fries now and then as long as they are active and also try some of the other exciting new menu choices.”

Founded in 1934, Burger Planet employs 48,272 people. Headquarters are located in Gary, Indiana but at last count, there were 8,921 franchises in every state and 17 countries. Company founder, James E. Muellenbach I, is the current president of the QSR Association.
